+ Marketing Coordinator

Working closely with our Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator is a key role in helping to execute projects and campaigns as well as communicating with our community of stakeholders both online and offline. This is a great opportunity for someone to learn the ropes of in-house marketing and get in the door of a start-up on the brink of expansion. Plus no weekly commute to the city! This position will work with our team based out of a shared co-working space in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing our digital presence and online community including upload photo and text on website and digital profiles
  • Create and schedule posts on social media based on editorial and campaign calendar
  • Respond to comments and engage in relevant discussions on social media
  • Assist in managing our email marketing campaigns including create templates, upload content, segment lists and schedule emails
  • Edit and write blog posts, act as point of contact for guest submissions
  • Optimize content for search engines and lead generation
  • Schedule content and manage postings
  • Create promotional materials and images
  • Capture informal content (photos / videos) to use on social media, assist in planning and production of photoshoots
  • Act as point of contact for events, plan event details and coordinate execution across teams
  • Manage day of setup and breakdown

Requirements:

  • BA / BS degree required
  • Previous marketing internship or work experience in the food, health / wellness, fashion, or similar industry required
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills (aka wordsmith) with ability to adopt the voice of our brand
  • Strong work ethic and stickler for details
  • An eye for design and love of the psychology behind marketing
  • Experience with CMS (SquareSpace or Wordpress), email marketing platforms (MailChimp or similar), and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator / InDesign)

+ Culinary Fulfillment Coordinator

Do you have at least 1 year of culinary experience under your belt but over the BS of the traditional kitchen culture? Are you interested in seeing what the business operations side of a business is outside of the kitchen? Is paying close attention to details a given when it comes to the skills in your toolkit?

Working directly with our Executive Chef and Director of Operations, the Culinary Fulfillment Coordinator is a key and unique role. This hybrid position is part of both our kitchen and fulfillment departments, splitting their time throughout the week assisting the culinary team with menu production and fulfilling client orders. We are a boutique business on the brink of expansion and the right person will see this role as an opportunity to grow with the company.

Yes, there will be times when it’s come down to the wire and our team must pull together to make it happen. But unlike the typical NYC restaurant setting, our Executive Chef prides themselves on fostering a positive environment while also maintaining order in our fast paced, high-volume production kitchen. We truly value the opinions of all our employees as stakeholders to growing our company and helping to continually improve our operations.

Plus no commuting to the city! This full-time position will work with our team based out of our commercial kitchen in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn and have a set weekly schedule of Sun-Thurs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work side by side with cooks, chefs and fulfillment team to ensure the highest quality of food is created for our clients
  • Prepare and cook food as outlined within our recipes
  • Maintain the company’s high standards of quality through quality control procedures
  • Verify all items are accounted for and in good quality for outgoing orders
  • Work alongside the fulfillment team in the organizing and packaging of meals for client orders
  • Assist in troubleshooting any relevant issues related to fulfilling orders with client services and operations
  • Relevant administrative duties, such as inventory, printing client orders, labels, and communicating with delivery drivers
  • Provide updates and collaborate with team members across departments
  • Continuously search for process improvements and ways to streamline efficiency and improve client experience

Qualifications:

  • Certificate, associate degree or similar in Culinary Arts preferred but not required
  • 1-2 years work experience in a busy kitchen setting
  • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and operational processes
  • Well-versed and knowledgeable of proper food handling procedures; Food Handlers License preferred
  • Solid interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, and ability to multitask while completing time sensitive projects
  • Self-motivated and sets high personal standards with the ability to work as part of a team but also able to work independently
