We offer 25+ choices on our menu each week for our clients to choose from including options for both omnivores and plant-lovers alike. Everything is gluten-free, dairy-free, with no refined sugar. Our mission is to help our clients feel and look their best from the inside out.

Working directly with our Chefs, the Lead Production Cook is a crucial role in ensuring quality control and consistency with the production and execution of our recipes. You will also be involved in managing and maintaining all systems (ie. production, plating, ordering, inventory, and maintenance of recipe database). We are a boutique business on the brink of expansion and the right person will see this role as an opportunity to take on greater responsibility.

Yes, there will be times when it’s come down to the wire and our team must pull together to make it happen. But unlike the typical NYC restaurant setting, our Executive Chef prides themselves on fostering a positive environment while also maintaining order in our fast paced, high-volume production kitchen. We truly value the opinions of all our employees as stakeholders to growing our company and helping to continually improve our operations.

Plus no commuting to the city or late nights! This full-time position will work with our team based out of our commercial kitchen in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn and have a set weekly schedule of Saturday - Wednesday, 7am - 3pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the company’s high standards of quality through quality control procedures
  • Execute recipes, new menu items, allergy modifications, special events and any other production support as needed
  • Provide guidance to kitchen staff, including, but not limited to, food preparation, time management, and plating
  • Conduct daily inventory of produce and weekly inventory of dry goods. Verify that all ingredients are in house ahead of production days and that they meet Provenance's quality standards
  • Notate and update recipes in database as needed
  • Assist Executive Chef in planning and executing family meal
  • Maintain a clean kitchen following proper food handling and sanitation guidelines
  • Create detailed production lists and ensure daily completion of tasks
  • Provide updates and collaborate with team members across departments
  • Continuously search for process improvements and ways to streamline efficiency
  • Work side by side with cooks, chefs and fulfillment team to ensure the highest quality of food is created for our clients

Qualifications:

  • Certificate, associate degree or similar in Culinary Arts preferred but not required
  • 2+ years work experience in a busy kitchen setting
  • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and operational processes
  • Well-versed and knowledgeable of proper food handling procedures; Food Handlers License preferred
  • Solid interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, and ability to multitask while completing time sensitive projects
  • Self-motivated and sets high personal standards with the ability to work as part of a team but also able to work independently

Working directly with our Executive Chef and Director of Operations, the Culinary Fulfillment Coordinator is a key and unique role. This hybrid position is part of both our kitchen and fulfillment departments, splitting their time throughout the week assisting the culinary team with menu production and fulfilling client orders. We are a boutique business on the brink of expansion and the right person will see this role as an opportunity to grow with the company.

  • Verify all items are accounted for and in good quality for outgoing orders
  • Work alongside the fulfillment team in the organizing and packaging of meals for client orders
  • Assist in troubleshooting any relevant issues related to fulfilling orders with client services and operations
  • Relevant administrative duties, such as inventory, printing client orders, labels, and communicating with delivery drivers
  • Provide updates and collaborate with team members across departments
  • Continuously search for process improvements and ways to streamline efficiency and improve client experience

Qualifications:

+ Marketing Intern (Social Media, Content, Email)

Working closely with our Director of Marketing, the Summer Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to get an inside look at running the social media, content, and email campaigns with an always on marketing strategy for a fast growing startup. This position will work with our team out of a co-working space in Dumbo, on-site as needed in our commercial kitchen, or at health / wellness events across the city.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing our digital presence and online community
  • Create and schedule posts on social media based on editorial and campaign calendar
  • Respond to comments and engage in relevant discussions on social media
  • Assist in managing our email marketing campaigns including create templates, upload content, segment lists and schedule emails
  • Capture informal content (photos / videos) to use on social media, assist in planning and production of photoshoots
  • Act as point of contact for events, plan event details and coordinate execution across teams
  • Assist in managing the setup and breakdown of events including prepping promotional materials, menus, and more.

Qualifications:

  • BA / BS degree in progress (marketing, communications, or relevant area of focus)
  • Previous marketing internship or work experience preferred
  • Strong interest in fashion, health / wellness, or food
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills (aka wordsmith) with ability to adopt the voice of our brand
  • Strong work ethic and stickler for details
  • Experience with managing website, email, or social media content
  • Basic graphic design skills preferred
