Message From Our Founder: How We’re Moving into 2023

It’s that time of year again, when the collective energy of renewal abounds. As an eternal optimist, I love to embrace the New Year’s energy of positive change within reach. If there’s anything that’s constant in our lives, it’s change.

A lot has changed in the 10 years since I started Provenance Meals. We’ve established ourselves as a leader in the industry with our clean eats meal delivery and detox programs. In 2022, we took the time to reflect on our strengths and opportunities, all while staying true to our core values. While we experienced both growth and loss, we were always inspired by the support of our community.

Our biggest accomplishment to date is expanding our fresh, prepared meal delivery service to a nationwide level. We’ve tapped into a network of local chefs across the country through our partnership with Mealogic, an e-commerce, fulfillment, and logistics company, to increase the variety and availability of our nutrient-dense meals. This partnership allows us to curate nutrient-dense meals from a much larger menu than in the past, resulting in a wider range of options at lower prices with the same exceptional quality you’ve grown to expect from Provenance. (If you’ve been a longtime client, you’ll find some of your old favorites like granola and crackers in our Wellness Shop and discover new favorites on our local menus.)

Our resolve in 2023 is to provide our clients with nourishment and consistency. Let’s not burn out on our wellness goals by February. Let’s remember to take care of our bodies and nourish our souls every opportunity we get. Let’s establish systems and consistent routines that bring our most amazing selves to the surface.

When you eat with Provenance every week, you receive:

  • Chef-prepared meals packed with abundant local and seasonal vegetables to ensure you’re getting the variety of phytonutrients your body needs.

  • None of the ingredients widely found in restaurant and processed foods that can lead to chronic inflammation.

    • No gluten

    • No dairy

    • No refined sugar

    • No refined seed oils (like canola and sunflower seed oils)

  • The highest quality proteins, including grass-fed meats with no antibiotics or hormones, seafood approved by Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch as a best choice or good alternative, and non-GMO corn and soy.

  • Sustainable packaging. (All the packaging in your delivery can be placed in your curbside recycling, with the exception of ice packs which we encourage you to reuse.)

  • No subscription and no cooking required.

  • And because joy is the biggest nutrient of all, the meals are designed to delight a sophisticated palate.

Just a week into 2023, I’ve been more mindful of consuming less sugar and refined carbs, eating more vegetables, and taking my supplements after breakfast. My resolutions for the new year are perhaps a little less ambitious or dramatic than in years past, and I feel like that’s a good thing for me. I celebrate the wins wherever I can, big or small. I hope you, too, will move into 2023 with gratitude and love for your whole authentic self.
